Throughout his 24-year career at Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), Bob worked as an Accounting Manager, Production Manager, and finished his tenure at HP as an Internal Behavior Based Safety Consultant to all of HP on the HP Safety Council.  In this role he developed and managed multiple behavior based safety implementations throughout HP engaging thousands of employees.   While working for the Inkjet Executive Team, Bob developed and implemented a behavior based safety process for more than 15,000 employees.  Not coincidentally, HP’s Inkjet Division’s recordable injury rate declined by one-third during this period.

Bob was then invited to apply similar behavior based techniques as a Quality Consultant to the implementation of ISO 9001 across HP’s Inkjet Supplies Business Unit.
After leaving HP, Bob worked as the Safety Management Consultant for the State of Oregon and as the Quality Manager for Nypro Plastics Corporation’s Oregon plant.

Bob’s most recent role before forming PPL was as a senior consultant with Safety Performance Solutions working with clients to develop world-class safety applying the principles and processes of People-Based Safety.

He entered the field of consulting in 2007 where he now contributes to numerous organizations in diverse business lines in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Africa and Europe.
